Carved out of an old palm oil estate by renowned designer Ross Watson, Kota Permai has consistently been ranked as one of the best courses in the region by several magazines and has garnered it’s fair share of awards since opening its doors in 1998. A straightforward but demanding golf course that rewards good course management, patience and well placed golf shots. The greens at Kota Permai are known for their speed and year round consistency, averaging 10ft on the stimpmeter, with undulations that will baffle even the best putters.
Kota Permai is a course that consistently strives to improve itself and its most recent renovation in 2004 is testament to that. Extensive improvements were made to the golf course to not only create a more enjoyable test for golfers but also to help reduce the impact the course has on its natural environment. Silica sand is used instead of traditional mining sand and environmentally friendly fertilisers and products are used to control pests and diseases. Kota Permai is truly a club that cares, not only for its members, staff and guests, but for its environment as well.
